On March 22nd I will be traveling to good ol' Portland (my favorite city ever), to be a vendor at the annual TEDx conference taking place on the Concordia University campus.
This experience last year was a blast! I got to meet a lot of new people, go through the stress and satisfaction of baking over 300 cupcakes, publicize The CB for the first time, and hear a lot of inspiring speakers at this awesome event (see a list of this years speakers here). This year it will be even larger and I am excited to have the opportunity to provide the dessert selection for the day!
Here are the flavors I was thinking about doing this year:
1. Salted Caramel (by far the most popular flavor)
2. Red Velvet (a must-have)
3. GF Chocolate on Chocolate (had many disappointed GF guests that didn't get to enjoy any cupcakes last year, sorry about that!)
4. Coconut Cream (light, fluffy, mouth-watering coconut. But the real question is raw or toasted coconut on top?)
5. Mint Chocolate (a definite crowd pleaser, and classic combo)
6. Mocha (a little afternoon pick-me-up)
How do those flavors sound to you? Any suggestions for something different? I still have time before I finalize the plans!
Anyway, I am pumped to be a part of this conference again this year, and I am very thankful to the TEDx planning team for inviting me back, and for supporting the fight against hunger. This event will provide lots of kids with lots of lunches!
